Baked apples and peaches come first, topped with cinnamon, clove and a spoonful of vanilla, the kind of warm kitchen scent that pulls everyone toward the oven. The strongly scented paraffin wax is hand poured into a mason-style glass jar topped with a metal lid, so it looks at home on a farmhouse counter. Choose the little 6 oz Baby or the two-wick 22 oz Mama, a long burning candle that fills a whole room.

Sizes

6 oz Baby: one wick and a 25 to 30 hour burn, about 2.5" wide by 3.25" tall.

22 oz Mama: two wicks and about 125 hours of burn time, about 4.75" wide by 4" tall.

Key Features

Baked-fruit scent: Apple, peach and pear notes over cinnamon, clove, tonka and vanilla give this scented jar candle a fresh-from-the-oven warmth.

Strong throw: Paraffin wax carries fragrance well, so the scent reaches beyond the room the candle sits in.

Two jar sizes: Pick the Baby for a bathroom or bedside table and the double wick Mama for the kitchen or living room.

Made in USA: Poured and packed in Elmer, New Jersey, rather than overseas.

About A Cheerful Giver: This family business has hand poured strongly scented paraffin candles in mason-style glass in Elmer, New Jersey, since 1991.

How to Use It

Light the candle and let the melt pool spread across the whole surface on the first burn, which keeps it from tunneling later. Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4" between lightings and keep the jar away from drafts, fans and open windows so the flame stays even. Set the Mama jar on the kitchen island or dining table during fall dinners and the Baby jar on a nightstand or bathroom shelf. Replace the lid between burns to hold the scent in.
