When you reach a geogrid course, compact the backfill level with the top of the block, then roll the grid out from near the face of the block straight back in one continuous piece with no splices. Butt neighboring strips edge to edge without overlapping. Set the next course of block on top, pull the grid tight to remove folds and stake the back edge.
