Place the jar on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, pets and anything flammable. On the first lighting, let the wax pool spread to the edge of the glass before extinguishing, which matters most on the wide Papa jar so both wicks share an even pool. Trim the wicks to 1/4 in before every burn. Put the Papa jar in the kitchen, dining room or an open living space where its 150+ hours can do the work over a whole season.
