Description
Hang a little patriotic spirit on the porch with the Sunset Vista Designs Americana Horse Hanging Buddy. A handcrafted metal horse gallops between a blue barn star above and a red barn star below, its front half painted navy with white stars and its hindquarters in red and white stripes. A small blue bell hangs from the bottom, and the pieces link together on a fine chain that ends in a hook at the top. About 19" long and 8.3" wide, it is a light, flat piece that suits a porch beam, tree branch or shepherd’s hook.
Key Features
- Stars-and-stripes horse: A galloping metal horse painted with a starry blue front and red-and-white striped hindquarters.
- Two barn stars: A dimensional blue star above and a red star below frame the horse on the chain.
- Mini bell: A small blue bell at the bottom gives a soft ring when the breeze moves it.
- Hanging hook included: Arrives on a chain with a hook, ready to hang, at about 19" long.
- Sunset Vista Designs: A family-run outdoor decor company that has been designing whimsical garden art, wind chimes and hanging decor for garden centers since the 1990s.
How to Hang It
Hang it from the included hook on a porch beam, a pergola rafter, a shepherd’s hook in a flower bed or a low tree branch near a seating area. Choose a spot with light airflow so the bell can ring gently, and give it enough clearance that the horse and stars do not tap against a wall or railing. It works indoors too, in a window or on a hook in a mudroom or barn office. Wipe the painted metal with a soft dry cloth, and bring it in during high winds and ice storms to protect the finish. Pair it with other Sunset Vista Designs Americana pieces for a summer holiday porch.
A Thoughtful Gift
Horse lovers, barn owners and anyone who decorates for Memorial Day and the Fourth of July will appreciate this hanging horse. It is light, needs no tools and hangs anywhere there is a hook, so it makes an easy gift for a porch, stable or tack room.
