Description
Bring a little beach cottage to the garden with the Sunset Vista Designs Beach Home Birdhouse. A vintage coastal cabin stands on stilts with a weathered white-wash finish, red windowpane frames and a multicolor plank roof. Wooden stairs climb to a deck with a white picket rail, a miniature fishing net drapes the side and a red-and-white life ring hangs by the front door, which doubles as the entrance for birds. A sturdy jute rope loop hangs it from a hook or branch. It measures approximately 9" tall by 7" wide.
Key Features
- Stilt beach house: Vintage coastal cabin on stilts with a weathered white-wash finish and red windowpane frames.
- Nautical details: Miniature fishing net, red-and-white life ring, white picket rail and a multicolor plank roof.
- Stairs to the deck: Wooden stairs lead up to the deck and the front door entrance for birds.
- Jute rope hanger: Sturdy rope loop attached for hanging outdoors or as indoor coastal decor.
- Sunset Vista Designs: A family-run outdoor decor company that has been designing whimsical garden art, wind chimes and hanging decor for garden centers since the 1990s.
Where to Display It
Hang it from a porch beam, garden hook or low branch where you can watch it from the deck, or set it on a mantel, entryway table or bathroom shelf with seashells and driftwood indoors. A spot under an overhang keeps the white-wash finish and the string net looking new longest. If birds move in, leave it alone until they fledge, then brush out the old nest. Bring it in for winter and during heavy rain, and dust it with a soft brush. Pair it with other Sunset Vista Designs coastal birdhouses and beach garden art for a seaside corner of the yard.
A Thoughtful Gift
Beach house owners, coastal decor fans and backyard birders will love it. It makes a good housewarming gift for a new shore home, a hostess gift after a summer weekend or a birthday present for a bird lover. It arrives ready to hang.
