Description
Hang a little bear lodge in the garden with the Sunset Vista Designs Bear Creek Lodge Birdhouse. Built like a log cabin, it carries a "Bear Creek Lodge" sign, a black bear out front, an evergreen tree and a tipped-over tin honey bucket with honey paw prints on the roof. Pinecones and moss dress the cabin, and an attached nesting annex holds the round entry hole for birds. A clean-out door on the back makes tidying easy, and a jute rope loop hangs it up. It measures approximately 8.75" x 8.15" x 6".
Key Features
- Log cabin lodge: Log-style walls, a Bear Creek Lodge sign and an evergreen tree give it a mountain cabin look.
- Bear and honey details: A black bear, a tin honey bucket and honey paw prints on the roof tell the story.
- Nesting annex: An attached annex with a round entry hole and a clean-out door on the back for easy care.
- Jute rope hanger: Rope loop is attached for easy hanging display; it arrives in protective packaging.
- Sunset Vista Designs: A family-run outdoor decor company that has been designing whimsical garden art, wind chimes and hanging decor for garden centers since the 1990s.
Where to Display It
Hang it from a tree branch, porch hook or shepherd’s hook where you can watch it from a window or the patio table, or set it on a deck rail post as a decorative accent. A spot under an overhang keeps the wood, moss and pinecones looking new longest, and it also suits a sunroom shelf, cabin mantel or entryway indoors. If birds move in, wait until they fledge, then open the back clean-out door and brush out the old nest. Bring it in for winter and heavy rain. Group it with other Sunset Vista Designs birdhouses and woodland garden art for a whole little village along the porch.
A Thoughtful Gift
Cabin and bear lovers, campers and backyard birders will all get a kick out of it. It makes a good housewarming gift for a new lake house or cabin, and a birthday present for a grandparent who keeps feeders. It arrives ready to hang.
