Description
Give your pigeons the old fancier’s standby in a clean, easy-to-dose form with Belgian Winners Garlic Oil for Pigeons, a 250 ml bottle of garlic oil in a vegetable oil base. Garlic has been valued for health in people and animals for generations, and in the loft it supports a healthy digestive tract, has a prophylactic effect against different types of yeast and helps repel worm infestations. The rapeseed and sunflower oil carrier is rich in linoleic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid, and it doubles as a binder that makes Ormi-Vita and other powders stick to the grain.
Key Features
- Digestion and circulation: Garlic supports the digestive tract and blood circulation of racing and breeding pigeons.
- Yeast and worm defense: A prophylactic effect on yeasts, and regular garlic oil helps repel worm infestations.
- Linoleic acid: The rapeseed and sunflower oil base supplies unsaturated fatty acids.
- Garlic oil for pigeon feed: One soup spoon, about 15 ml, per kilogram of grain.
- About Belgian Winners: Winners is the racing-pigeon supplement range from Vanrobaeys in Belgium, and Garlic Oil is one of its digestion and conditioning basics.
Feeding Directions
Measure one soup spoon of Garlic Oil, about 15 ml, over each kilogram of feed and stir until every grain has a light coating. Let the feed stand a few minutes, then dust on Ormi-Vita brewer’s yeast or another powder if you use one, since the oil helps it cling. Feed the mix the same day rather than storing oiled grain. Use it through the racing season, during breeding preparation and in the moult when birds benefit from extra fatty acids. Keep the bottle capped in a cool, dark place, because light and heat spoil oils. Rinse the feed pans between oiled feeds so old oil does not turn rancid.
