Description

Give your dog the long throws they live for without wearing out your arm. The Chuckit! Cannon & Cannon Max Dog Ball Launcher is a hand-powered tennis ball launcher that fires a Cannon Ball 45 feet or more, turning hands-free fetch into a real workout. Quiet-Shot Technology keeps the launch soft on sensitive ears, and slobber-free pickup means you never touch a wet ball.

Key Features

  • Quiet-Shot Technology: Launch without the bang of other automatic ball throwers, so noise-shy dogs stay relaxed.
  • Slobber-Free Pickup: Press the muzzle over the ball to scoop it up hands-free, then fire again.
  • Serious Distance: The Cannon reaches 45+ feet and the Cannon Max 60+ feet, further with the optional extra-strength power band.
  • Replaceable Power Bands: Swap a worn blue band in seconds, or fit the black extra-strength band for longer runs.
  • Purpose-Built Balls: Chuckit! Cannon Ball compatible, with a rubber compound core and fabric cover that keeps its bounce.

How to Use

Pull the handle back to cock the launcher. Push it forward to set the power band. Load a Cannon Ball by hand or by pressing the muzzle over a ball on the ground. Aim into open space and squeeze the trigger to launch.

Choose Your Cannon

Pick the 16M Cannon for one launcher that suits a small dog or a medium dog. It fires small Cannon Balls for dogs up to 20 pounds and medium balls for dogs 20 to 50 pounds, and its compact 16-inch body rides easily in a tote. Pick the 24M Cannon Max when your medium dog needs more room to run. Its 24-inch barrel throws medium balls 60+ feet, and further with the optional extra-strength power band. It launches medium Cannon Balls only, the fetch toy for medium dogs that outrun every arm in the family.

Both launchers are built around Chuckit! Cannon Balls, which are about 2 inches across, slightly larger than a golf ball. The 16M Cannon fires small or medium Cannon Balls. The 24M Cannon Max fires medium Cannon Balls only. Standard tennis balls are not the right size, so stick with Cannon Ball refill packs for safe, consistent launches.
Quiet-Shot Technology is designed to cut the launch noise well below what most spring or air-powered launchers make. You will still hear a soft snap when the ball leaves the muzzle, but it is gentle enough for sound-sensitive dogs and for early-morning play in a quiet neighborhood.
Yes. Each launcher ships with a blue standard power band, and Chuckit! sells replacement blue bands plus a black extra-strength band for more distance. Bands are model-specific, so buy the Cannon band for the 16M and the Max Cannon band for the 24M. Swapping takes only a minute and no tools.
Choose the 16M Cannon for dogs up to about 50 pounds, especially if you have a small dog or a mix of sizes at home, since it fires both small and medium balls. Choose the 24M Cannon Max for a medium dog in the 20 to 50 pound range that needs a longer run, since it throws medium balls 60 feet or more.
Always aim away from people and pets before pulling the trigger, and launch only in open areas where the ball has room to land. Keep the barrel free of grass and grit, wipe it down after wet play, and check the power band for cracks or stretching before each session. Replace a worn band rather than continuing to use it.
