Bailey is a wide, speckled grey-cream pup with long mustard-yellow ears that droop past his cheeks, a chocolate-brown nose and a pink tongue lolling out one side of his mouth. Two round white eyes gaze up in happy disbelief, as if a treat just appeared. The planter opens across the top of his head, so a trailing succulent spills down over his ears like an unruly mop of hair. How to Use It
Plant Bailey with a trailing sedum, a string of pearls or a small spider plant so the foliage falls over his ears, or keep it simple with a single echeveria rosette. Use a mix that drains well and set the planter on a saucer, because the drain hole lets water through. Water when the mix dries out and tip away anything left in the saucer. Give Bailey a bright spot where his tongue-out grin greets people, such as beside the coffee maker, on an entry table or in a classroom window. Take him outside to a covered patio table for the summer and bring him in before frost. He looks best in a row with Perky and Stella from the same collection.
