Top off a Coventry Wall III or Terrace Wall with the EP Henry Coventry Rectangular Split Cap 3 x 12 x 16 in. The cap measures 16" long, 12" deep and 3" high, with split-face edges that match the texture of the wall beneath it, so seat walls, planters, columns and fire pits end in a clean, uniform profile. It also fits Diamond Pro 12" deep units in a straight run. Choose Dakota Blend or Pewter Blend, sold per piece at 47 lb each.
Key Features
-
Split-face edges: The rough edge of the rectangular split cap carries the wall texture over the top course instead of a smooth band.
-
Straight-run cap: Use the rectangular cap on straight walls; switch to the tapered universal cap where the wall curves.
-
Three per square foot: Each cap covers 16" of wall, so a cube of 96 pieces runs 128 linear feet.
-
Glue-down fit: Adhere with a high-strength flexible concrete adhesive; no pins go under the cap course.
-
About EP Henry: EP Henry of Woodbury, New Jersey joined Oldcastle APG in 2021, and its paver and wall lines are now produced and sold as Belgard Metro products from the same regional plants.
Sizes & Colors

How to Install It
Dry-lay the caps along the finished top course first to set joint spacing and decide where cut pieces land, keeping cuts toward inside corners. Brush dust off the wall block, apply a high-strength flexible concrete adhesive, and press each cap into place, checking the front edge stays in a straight line. Cut caps with a wet saw for columns and end returns. On a fire pit or seat wall, the 12" depth gives a wide, comfortable seating surface. Match the cap color to the wall, or contrast Pewter Blend caps on a Dakota Blend wall for a defined top line.

The EP Henry rectangular split cap is the 3 x 12 x 16 in straight-run cap for Coventry Wall III and Terrace Wall, now produced as Belgard Metro product, and it also caps Diamond Pro 12 in deep units on straight walls. Take off at 0.75 pcs per LF of wall (one cap per 16 in) or 3 pcs per sq ft of cap area; a cube is 96 pcs, 128 LF, 4,555 lb, 47 lb per piece. Curves take the tapered universal cap (16/14 x 11-5/8 x 3 in, 3.2 pcs per sq ft, 120 LF per cube, 44 lb), so split the take-off between the two wherever a wall changes from straight to radius. Garoppo's sells per piece, so columns, returns and repairs are not a cube commitment.
Key Features
- Split-face edges: All exposed edges are split to match Coventry Wall III and Terrace Wall texture; no smooth band at the top course.
- Straight runs only: Rectangular 16 in units; use the tapered universal cap on any radius to avoid wedge-shaped joints.
- Take-off: 3 pcs per sq ft of cap; 0.75 pcs per LF; 96 pcs and 128 LF per cube at 4,555 lb.
- Adhesive set: High-strength flexible concrete adhesive only; the cap course takes no pins, so the adhesive bond is the full restraint against lift and freeze-thaw movement.
- Metro lineage: EP Henry (Woodbury, NJ) joined Oldcastle APG in 2021; the line now ships as Belgard Metro product from the Woodbury NJ, Parker Ford PA and Wrightstown NJ plants, with the EP Henry trademarks carried over.
Sizes & Colors
- Dakota Blend: 3 x 12 x 16 in, 47 lb; matches Dakota Blend Coventry Wall III and Terrace Wall.
- Pewter Blend: 3 x 12 x 16 in, 47 lb; matches Pewter Blend Coventry Wall III and Terrace Wall. (Harvest Blend and Charcoal caps appeared in the 2022 EP Henry palette; not stocked in this listing.)
How to Install It
Dry-lay the full cap run on the finished top course before gluing to set joint spacing, plan cuts at inside corners and returns, and confirm the front line is straight; the 12 in depth on a 10 in deep Coventry Wall III block leaves room for a front overhang, so set it consistently along the run. Clean the top of the block of dust and loose sand, apply the flexible concrete adhesive, and seat each cap with firm pressure. Use a wet saw for column caps and end pieces; split edges cannot be recreated on a cut face, so orient cuts to the inside. Because the cap course has no pins, do not skip adhesive on any unit, and allow cure time before loading the wall as seating.
