Coverage per 40 lb Bag

Application Conditions
- Surface and ambient temperature must be above 32°F (0°C) during install and cure
- Pavers and joints must be completely dry before sweeping sand in
- No rain for at least 1 hour after final watering (24 hours for overlay applications)
- Sand level must finish at least 1/8" (3 mm) below the top of the paver (or below the chamfer) to prevent erosion
- Minimum recommended joint depth: 1½"
How to Install
- Sweep Flexlock Ultra G2 across dry pavers and into joints until fully filled to 1/8" below the paver surface.
- Compact with a plate compactor fitted with a protective pad so the sand settles into voids; top off any low joints and repeat.
- Blow or sweep off all residue from the paver faces — any film left behind may haze.
- Activate with a single gentle watering per the bag directions — no multi-pass soaking required.
- Keep traffic off until the cure window on the bag has passed.
Warranty
15-year limited warranty for residential use when installed per manufacturer instructions. For mixed-use, commercial, institutional, or other non-residential applications, the warranty is reduced to 1 year from date of purchase. Warranty covers material defects; it does not cover improper installation, substrate failure, or use outside published joint/temperature/drainage specs.
Flexlock vs. Gator — What's the Difference?
Both Flexlock and Gator are product lines from Alliance Designer Products. Flexlock is the contractor-focused premium line, while Gator is the legacy consumer line. Both use the same G2 “intelligent polymer” chemistry — eliminating the haze and dust of earlier polymeric sands and cutting activation to a single watering. Flexlock Ultra G2 handles the widest joints (up to 4") and is what Techo-Bloc co-markets with its pavers.
Silica Dust Warning — OSHA Respirable Crystalline Silica: This product contains crystalline silica. Cutting, sweeping, compacting, or otherwise disturbing dry polymeric sand can release respirable silica dust, which is known to cause serious lung disease (silicosis) and cancer. Always follow OSHA 29 CFR 1926.1153 requirements — wear a NIOSH-approved N95 (or better) respirator, use wet methods or HEPA-vacuum dust control where feasible, and follow the manufacturer's SDS. Keep product dry and sealed until use.
