Description
FoxFarm Bush Doctor® Kangaroots® is a liquid root drench inoculant (0.8–0.1–0.03) built to do one thing exceptionally well: get roots going. It combines immediately-available nutrients with beneficial soil microbes that colonize the root zone (the rhizosphere), helping seedlings establish faster and helping mature plants take up nutrients more efficiently. Use it on in-ground plantings, container gardens, and hydroponic systems.
A bigger, healthier root system is the foundation for everything above the soil line — stronger growth, better stress tolerance, and more productive plants. Kangaroots is the product you reach for at transplant and through the early stages of development to build that foundation.
Why Gardeners Use It
- Enhances root efficiency in the rhizosphere for both seedlings and mature plants
- Beneficial soil microbes support the root zone and improve nutrient uptake
- Immediately-available nutrients plus essential macro- and micronutrients
- Great at transplant and through early vegetative growth to establish strong roots
- Works in soil and hydroponics — a flexible addition to any feeding program
- Pairs with the FoxFarm feeding schedule for best results
Guaranteed Analysis
- Total Nitrogen (N) 0.8%
- Available Phosphate (P₂O₅) 0.1%
- Soluble Potash (K₂O) 0.03%
- Plus beneficial soil microbes and trace macro- and micronutrients
How to Use
In-ground gardens & container plantings:
- Mix 2 tsp (10 mL) per gallon (4 L) of fresh water.
- Drench the soil or preferred medium thoroughly.
- Apply every other week throughout the vegetative and blooming cycles — especially during the earlier stages of plant development.
Hydroponic recirculating systems:
- Mix ½ tsp (2.5 mL) per gallon (4 L) of fresh reservoir water.
- Use alongside FoxFarm fertilizers or any nutrient regimen.
- Flush the system every two weeks.
What Do the Numbers 0.8-0.1-0.03 Mean?
The three numbers on any plant product are the N–P–K ratio — the percentage by weight of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Kangaroots reads a very low 0.8–0.1–0.03, and that's exactly what you want from this kind of product:
- 0.8 — Nitrogen (N): a small amount of readily-available nitrogen to support early growth.
- 0.1 — Phosphorus (P₂O₅): a trace, available at the root zone.
- 0.03 — Potassium (K₂O): a trace.
Kangaroots isn't meant to be your main fertilizer — its real job is the beneficial microbes and root-zone support that help your plants build a bigger, more efficient root system and get more out of the fertilizer you're already feeding. Think of it as a root inoculant and booster you run alongside your base nutrients, not a replacement for them.
