Description

FoxFarm Marine Cuisine® is an all-purpose dry fertilizer (10–7–7) that's truly “Seafood for Your Garden.” It blends ocean-based ingredients — crab meal, shrimp meal, seabird guano, and kelp — with mineral plant foods to deliver the best of both worlds: a quick nutritional boost up front and steady, slow-release nutrition that feeds your plants over time. One balanced blend covers a huge range of your garden.

Marine Cuisine is designed for flowers and vegetable gardens, ornamental trees and shrubs, fruit trees, roses, and container plants. Whether you're feeding a raised bed of tomatoes or a row of rose bushes, it's a reliable, do-it-all choice.

How to Use

Use Marine Cuisine as a general, all-purpose fertilizer throughout the growing season.

New plantings & container plants:

  • Add 1 tablespoon per gallon of soil.
  • Work into the soil to a depth of 6–8 inches and water thoroughly.
  • Feed twice per growing season, 3–4 months apart.

Established gardens:

  • Feed 1 tablespoon for every foot of plant height.
  • Broadcast evenly around the foliage canopy and rake in lightly.
  • Pull any excess fertilizer away from the base of the plant and water thoroughly.
  • Feed twice per growing season, 3–4 months apart.

For best results, mulch in spring and fall with FoxFarm Original Planting Mix or Happy Frog® Soil Conditioner.

What Do the Numbers 10-7-7 Mean?

The three numbers on any fertilizer are the N–P–K ratio — the percentage by weight of the three primary plant nutrients. Marine Cuisine is a balanced, slightly nitrogen-forward 10–7–7:

  • 10 — Nitrogen (N): drives green, leafy, vegetative growth — the highest of the three, which is what makes this a strong all-purpose feed.
  • 7 — Phosphorus (P₂O₅): supports root development and flower, fruit, and bud formation.
  • 7 — Potassium (K₂O): supports overall plant vigor, water regulation, and stress tolerance.

A balanced ratio like 10–7–7 tells you this is a true all-purpose fertilizer — enough nitrogen for healthy growth, with solid phosphorus and potassium to back flowering, fruiting, and overall plant health across your whole garden.
