Description
Watch the wind from the porch with the Sunset Vista Designs Horse Spinner Weathervane Stake. A galloping horse with a dark mane and tail rides above a directional arrow at the top, and below it a set of spinning cups turns in the breeze over the letters N, S, E and W on crossed arms. The whole piece is finished in a rustic brown metal that suits a barn, farmhouse or country garden. About 60" tall and 15" wide, it stands on a three-prong stake so it stays put when the cups spin.
Key Features
- Galloping horse topper: A painted metal horse with flowing mane and tail rides above the directional arrow.
- Spinning cups: A ring of metal cups turns in the wind below the horse.
- N, S, E, W letters: Cut-metal compass letters on crossed arms give it a classic weathervane look.
- Rustic finish on a three-prong stake: About 60" tall, with a forked base that anchors it in the soil.
- Sunset Vista Designs: A family-run outdoor decor company that has been designing whimsical garden art, wind chimes and hanging decor for garden centers since the 1990s.
Where to Display It
Set it in an open spot where the breeze can reach it, such as the edge of a lawn, a vegetable garden, a paddock fence line or a bed beside the driveway. Push the three-prong stake straight into soft soil and step lightly on the base to seat it, then turn the crossed arms so the N points north. Keep it clear of shrubs and low branches so the cups and arrow can turn freely. Pull it before the ground freezes and store it dry over winter. Pair it with other Sunset Vista Designs rustic and horse-themed garden art for a farmhouse look.
A Thoughtful Gift
Horse owners, riders and anyone with a barn or country property will enjoy this weathervane stake. It needs no tools and arrives ready to place in the yard, so it makes an easy housewarming, birthday or retirement gift.
