Description
Light a garden path with the Sunset Vista Designs Quail Solar Garden Stake. A round gold globe sits on top of a slim metal stake, with a white crested quail standing among leafy sprigs across its face and a small beaded drop dangling beneath. A solar cell mounted on the stake charges by day and lights the globe automatically at night, so the quail glows after dark. About 54" tall overall, it stands on a single stake with a foot bar and adds a warm evening glow to a bed, border or large planter.
Key Features
- Solar-lit globe: A solar cell on the stake charges in daylight and turns the gold globe on automatically at dusk.
- Quail silhouette: A white crested quail stands among leafy sprigs across the front of the globe, with a small beaded drop below.
- Stake with foot bar: Pushes into soil by hand, with a short foot bar that helps you press it in and keeps it upright.
- Tall presence: About 54" tall and 9" wide, it rises above low plantings and stays visible from the porch.
- Sunset Vista Designs: A family-run outdoor decor company that has been designing whimsical garden art, wind chimes and hanging decor for garden centers since the 1990s.
Where to Display It
Set it where the solar cell on the stake gets several hours of direct sun each day, such as a sunny front bed, the edge of a walkway or the corner of a patio planting. Push the stake straight into soft soil and press the foot bar with your shoe to seat it firmly. Keep tall plants from shading the cell as the season fills in, and wipe the globe and cell with a soft damp cloth now and then to clear dust and pollen. Pull it before the ground freezes and store it dry over winter. Pair it with other Sunset Vista Designs solar stakes and bird-themed garden art for a matched look along the path.
A Thoughtful Gift
Quail solar stakes suit birdwatchers, wildlife-garden fans and anyone who likes a little light along the path in the evening. It runs on sunlight alone, so it works anywhere outdoors with no cords or outlets, and it arrives ready to plant.
