How to Use

Adjust the feeding rate to the condition of the individual horse. Yearlings from 12 to 18 months take 0.75 to 1.00 pounds per 100 pounds of body weight daily, two-year-olds take 0.60 to 0.75 pounds, and mature horses range from 0.40 to 0.60 pounds in light exercise up to 0.75 to 1.30 pounds in very heavy work. Lactating mares four to six months out take 0.80 to 1.15 pounds. Rates assume grass or mixed grass hay, and this feed weighs about 1.35 pounds per quart, so weigh rather than scoop. Provide good-quality hay or pasture, free-choice salt and plenty of fresh water. Store in a cool, dry place, and do not feed to sheep because the formula contains supplemental copper.
