Description
Small pets are prey animals, and a pet with nowhere to hide is a stressed pet. The Kaytee Igloo Hideout gives them an enclosed den that satisfies that instinct, moulded from translucent plastic so you can still see your pet inside without dragging them out into the open. Choose the size to match your animal: the Mini is the right footprint for hamsters, gerbils and pet rats where cage floor space is tight, while the Large gives guinea pigs, ferrets, dwarf rabbits and chinchillas room to properly settle in. Both share the same one-piece construction, so there is nothing to assemble and no seams for waste to collect in, and both carry moulded fresh-air vents that keep the inside from getting stuffy. They arrive in assorted cool colours.

Hides are not optional enrichment for prey animals — an animal with nowhere to retreat stays alert and stressed. Two hides in a cage beats one, because it lets your pet choose. Watch how yours uses it: bedding dragged inside is a good sign, while an igloo that stays empty usually means it is somewhere that feels too exposed, and moving it to a quieter corner fixes that more often than not. If you keep a bonded pair, two hides also head off the squabbling a single shared den can cause.
