Description

Keep humidity where it belongs with the Komodo Reptile Spray Bottle. Daily misting is how most keepers hold a habitat at the right humidity, give arboreal geckos and chameleons the water droplets they prefer to drink, and help snakes through a clean shed. This 550 ml trigger sprayer is sized to handle a full misting round across several enclosures without stopping to refill.

Key Features

  • Built for daily misting: The trigger sprayer delivers an even spray for raising habitat humidity morning and night.
  • 550 ml capacity: 18.6 fluid ounces covers a full rack of enclosures between refills.
  • Translucent body: Check your water level at a glance so you never start a misting round half empty.
  • Comfortable trigger: Easy pull action for repeated spraying without hand fatigue.
  • Reptile specific: Dedicate one bottle to habitat water only, with no chance of leftover cleaner residue.
  • Supports clean sheds: Regular misting raises humidity at the moment snakes and geckos need it most, which helps skin come off in one piece instead of patches.
  • Works beyond the tank: Handy for damping sphagnum moss, refreshing a humid hide, or watering small live terrarium plants.

How to Use

Fill the bottle with dechlorinated or spring water and screw the trigger assembly on firmly. Mist the walls, plants, and substrate of the habitat rather than spraying your animal directly, and let the droplets do the work of raising humidity. Aim for a fine, even coat rather than soaking one spot, since standing water in the substrate encourages mold and scale rot. Most tropical species do well with a morning and evening misting, while desert species need far less. Check humidity with a gauge and adjust from there rather than guessing, and remember that ventilation, substrate, and water dish size all pull on the same number. Empty and rinse the bottle weekly, and reserve it for habitat water only, never cleaning chemicals.

550 ml, which is 18.6 fluid ounces. That is enough to mist a rack of several enclosures before you need to refill.
Dechlorinated tap water, spring water, or reverse osmosis water. Distilled and RO water leave the fewest mineral spots on glass, while untreated tap water can spot the tank.
Generally no. Mist the walls, plants, and substrate and let evaporation raise the humidity. Arboreal geckos and chameleons are the exception, since they drink the droplets off leaves.
Keep this bottle for habitat water only. Even a rinsed bottle can hold traces of disinfectant, and reptiles are sensitive to residues, so use a separate labeled bottle for cleaners.
It depends on the species. Tropical animals often need a morning and evening misting, desert species need much less. Use a hygrometer and adjust to hit your species' target range.
