How to Use It
Work the granules into the top few inches of soil when preparing a vegetable or flower bed in spring, then water well. Side-dress growing vegetables by sprinkling a band along the row a few inches from the stems and scratching it in. Around shrubs and trees, spread it evenly from near the trunk out to the drip line and water it down. On lawns, apply with a spreader on a dry day and irrigate afterward so the granules dissolve into the root zone. Follow the rate printed on the bag and avoid piling fertilizer against stems or trunks. Repeat a lighter feeding at midseason for heavy feeders such as tomatoes and roses, and store the bag sealed and dry.
