Part #: MXS64D · Blade: 14″ × 4″ curved · Handle: DuraSoft® · Made in USA

Why Marshalltown?

  • High-carbon steel blade: hardened and tempered steel, properly shaped — the standard for finish quality and edge life
  • Beveled work edges: reduce surface aggregate popping during the finishing pass — cleaner closeout, fewer touch-ups
  • Curved blade profile: the finisher’s preferred shape for fanning the surface and laying down a tight burnished finish
  • Xtralite® aluminum alloy mounting: lightweight yet rigid — reduces hand fatigue without flexing under pressure
  • DuraSoft® handle: resilient ergonomic grip that absorbs vibration and stays comfortable through long pours
  • Made in the USA with globally sourced materials — the trade-standard finishing trowel for over a century

Best For

  • Slab finishing: driveways, sidewalks, patios, garage floors
  • Wall finishing: stucco, plaster, and other vertical concrete-finish work
  • Concrete contractors: daily flatwork production where a wood-handle trowel doesn’t hold up
  • Decorative concrete: stamped, broom, and burnished finishes where blade quality shows

Care

  • Wash concrete and mortar off the blade with water before it sets — cured concrete pits the steel finish and dulls the edges
  • Wipe dry and lightly oil the blade between jobs to prevent rust storage marks — high-carbon steel is harder than stainless but rusts faster if neglected
  • Store with the blade clear of the toolbox floor — impacts can dent the leading edge and affect finish quality
  • Inspect the Xtralite® mounting and DuraSoft® handle at the start of each season
  • Break in new blades on rougher work before using on critical visual finishes
