How to Install It
Run the drain line downhill from the catch basin or downspout to a spot where discharged water can spread across open lawn. Dig a shallow pit at the end of the trench, seat the elbow weep hole down and connect the pipe, using the adapter for corrugated or Sch. 40. Set the flange flush with the turf and bed a few inches of gravel under the elbow so weep water can soak away. Mow right over the closed cover. If the cap sticks, lift it, rinse out grit and let the spring reseat it.

Installation
Follow the NDS Drainage Emitter with Elbow installation detail. Carry positive fall from the collection point to the emitter and daylight where discharge can spread across turf without recirculating to the foundation. Excavate a pocket at the end of the trench, bed the elbow on gravel with the weep hole down, connect the pipe with or without the adapter to match the pipe type, and set the flange flush with finished turf so mowers pass over the closed cap. Backfill around the elbow and compact by hand. On lines with more than one collection point, check that total flow at the design storm does not exceed the emitter capacity from the tech spec; add a second emitter or a larger outlet where it does. Keep the emitter out of low spots that pond, since the cap needs to sit above the surrounding water to discharge, and avoid placing it where the plow or mower deck will catch a raised cap.
