How to Install It
Dig a trench wide enough for the channel plus a concrete bed on each side, and set the depth so the channel top finishes flush with the surrounding surface. Connect sections with the Spee-D coupling, add an end outlet at the low end to tie into 3 in. or 4 in. drain pipe, and close the far end with a Spee-D end cap. Set the channel on its concrete bed, check the pitch toward the outlet, and pour concrete against both sides so the bottom flanges are locked in. Fit a Spee-D grate, sold separately, and follow the NDS pedestrian or vehicular installation detail for your traffic load.

How to Install It
Trench to allow the concrete bed and side haunch called out in the NDS Profile Channel installation manual, and set the channel invert so the grate finishes flush with the adjacent slab or paver surface. Assemble sections with couplings, install the end outlet at the low end to 3 in. or 4 in. sewer and drain pipe, and cap the high end. Hold fall toward the outlet, brace as needed, and place concrete against both sides so the flanges are fully embedded. Use the pedestrian detail for patios and pool decks and the vehicular detail for driveways, and select a grate rated for the expected load. Encase fully in concrete on freeze-thaw sites so the channel does not shift or heave relative to the slab.
