Netafim Techline TL050MA 17mm to 1/2 in. Male NPT Adapter for Drip Irrigation

Price:
$0.69

Description

Transition off a 1/2″ threaded supply line into a 17mm Netafim Techline dripline without an extra adapter stack. The TL050MA has 1/2″ male NPT threads on the inlet and a 17mm insert barb on the outlet — thread it into any 1/2″ female fitting (tee, coupler, valve outlet, sprinkler riser swap), push the Techline dripline onto the barb, and the manifold is built. OEM Netafim, so the barb-to-ID fit is engineered for the 0.56″–0.60″ Techline ID range — not a generic 1/2″ barb that fits four sizes badly.

Why Netafim Is the Right Match

  • OEM Netafim — the same brand as your 17mm Techline dripline, so the barb seals correctly without a clamp
  • 1/2″ male NPT inlet — threads into any standard 1/2″ female fitting (PVC tee, coupler, valve outlet, sprinkler riser hole)
  • 17mm barb outlet — sized for Netafim Techline HCVXR, HCVXR-RW/RWP, CV, DL, RW/RWP, and 17mm PE irrigation hose in the 0.56–0.60″ ID range
  • Tool-free push-fit on the barb side — no clamps needed (the barb seals against the dripline ID)
  • UV resistant — survives direct sun and the chemistry of irrigation water
  • One-piece molded construction — no joints, nothing to come apart underground in year five

Where It Shines

  • Manifold builds — thread into a 1/2″ PVC tee or coupler off the supply, push the Techline onto the barb
  • Drop-down off a sprinkler riser — swap the sprinkler nozzle/body for a 1/2″ cap, thread the TL050MA in, and route Techline to the bed
  • Faucet-to-drip conversion — thread into a 1/2″ faucet adapter for hose-bib drip kits
  • Service-call retrofits — replace a failed clamped-style threaded adapter with the OEM Netafim push-fit version

Install Notes

  • Wrap the 1/2″ male NPT threads with 2–3 layers of PTFE tape (or use approved pipe-thread sealant); hand-tight plus a quarter turn with a wrench
  • Cut the dripline square with a sharp knife or PE pipe cutter (a ragged cut won’t seal)
  • Push the dripline fully home onto the 17mm barb — the last barb ridge should be inside the tubing
  • No clamp required on the barb side — the Netafim-engineered fit seals against the Techline ID
  • Pressure-test before backfilling the trench
  • For 12mm Techline EZ — this is the wrong size; use Netafim Model T12050MA instead
  • For 3/4″ male NPT inlet on 17mm Techline — use Netafim Model TL075MA

Pair With

For inline splices in 17mm Techline, use the Netafim TLCOUP insert coupling. For tee/branch connections, the TLTEE. For 3/4″ male NPT inlet, the TL075MA. For 12mm Techline EZ instead of 17mm, the matching T12050MA.
