Where to Hang It
Hang the feeder from a branch, shepherd’s hook or deck bracket using the metal hanger, in a spot you can see from a window and a few feet from cover so small birds feel safe. Load the thistle chamber with nyjer for goldfinches and the other two with sunflower or a wild bird blend; a 2 lb fill lasts longer when the chambers are matched to the birds you actually get. Lift the top to refill when the clear tube shows a chamber running low, and rinse the tube periodically so old seed does not clump. The lift-off top makes cleaning as simple as filling.
