Description

Solvent-weld PVC pipe and fittings into pressure-rated joints with Oatey Medium Clear PVC Cement. Medium-bodied formula handles pipe up to 6 in for pressure applications and up to 12 in for non-pressure DWV — the workhorse size that covers most residential and light-commercial plumbing. Clear color cures invisible — no purple stains around finished joints or exposed installations. Pair with Oatey Clear Primer for a NSF-listed, pressure-rated assembly.

Why Plumbers Pick This Cement

  • Medium-body PVC formula — right viscosity for joints from 1/2 in up to 6 in pressure pipe and 12 in DWV
  • Clear color cures invisible — safe for visible joints where staining isn’t acceptable
  • Bonds all schedules and classes of PVC pipe and fittings
  • Meets ASTM Standard D2564 for PVC solvent cement
  • NSF/ANSI 61 listed — safe for potable-water plumbing
  • Low-VOC, meets SCAQMD Rule 1168/316A and BAAQMD Method 40 (California-compliant)
  • Certified to UL GREENGUARD Gold
  • Backed by Oatey’s plumbing-pro reputation since 1916
