Oster makes it in the USA from high-carbon steel, hardens it to RC62-66 on the Rockwell scale and then cryogenically treats it before sharpening, so the edge holds up through many clips. How to Use It
Snap the blade onto the hinge of your A5-style clipper and lock it down, then run it with the lay of the coat for a smooth 1/16 in finish. Use it bare for poodle feet, faces and tails, or slide a universal comb over it for body work at a longer length. Check the blade temperature against your wrist every few minutes and switch to a cool spare if it warms up. After each use, brush out the hair, apply blade lube along the teeth and wipe off the excess before storing. Have it sharpened when it starts to drag rather than cut.
