Description
Keep your tomatoes, peppers, and other climbing plants upright and productive with the Panacea Tomato Cage. This galvanized steel cage stands 54 inches tall with a 16-inch diameter, giving vines plenty of room to grow up instead of sprawling across the ground. Four sturdy rings and four legs hold heavy, fruit-laden branches off the soil, so your harvest stays cleaner, ripens more evenly, and is easier to pick all season long.
Key Features
- Galvanized steel: Rust-resistant finish stands up to moisture and sun for seasons of reuse.
- 16 in x 54 in size: A tall 54-inch height and 16-inch diameter support full-size tomato plants and vining vegetables.
- 4 rings and 4 legs: Multiple support rings keep stems upright while four legs press firmly into the soil for stability.
- Lifts plants off the ground: Improves airflow and sun exposure to help reduce disease and fruit rot.
- Easy to use: Set it over young plants in spring and let them grow up through the rings.
- Lightweight and reusable: The roughly 3 lb frame is easy to move and simple to store between seasons.
Applications
Place the cage over tomato, pepper, eggplant, or cucumber seedlings early in the season and press the legs into the soil so the plant grows up through the rings. As vines climb, tuck wayward stems back inside the cage to keep fruit supported and off the ground. Use it in raised beds, in-ground gardens, or large containers. For tall or heavy indeterminate tomatoes, the 54-inch height gives vines room to reach full size without flopping over.
