How to Install It
Lay the Quick-E-Hybrid HD Edging tight against the outside course of pavers with the slots facing out. Drop a Hybrid HD stake into every other slot and drive it home with the Quick-E-Hammer (sold separately) until the head seats against the edging. Five stakes hold each 6.66’ length. Keep the stake driven straight so the V-shape seats fully in the base material. Plan on one box per 15-piece edging bundle, which works out to 100 linear feet. On curves, add a stake at the tangent points so the restraint follows the radius without lifting.

Installation

- Backfill: Cover the edging with topsoil or aggregate to finished grade before final compaction.
Spec Notes
Open-graded and permeable bases are where standard spikes lose hold, because the clean stone offers little friction against a round shank. The V-profile on the Hybrid HD stake presents two bearing faces to the aggregate instead of one, which is what the lateral pull test is demonstrating. Order by the bundle-to-box rule: each 15-piece bundle of Quick-E-Hybrid HD Edging (100 linear ft) consumes one box of 75 stakes at every-other-slot spacing, so a 340 ft perimeter is four bundles and four boxes with margin left for radii. Do not substitute shorter or round stakes in the Hybrid HD slots on permeable work. Store shipping weight for the box is 42.5 lb (Pave Tool lists 72 lb shipping); plan the truck load accordingly.
