Description
Let a cat hide in the planter with the Sunset Vista Designs Peekaboo Cat 2-Piece Plant Stake Set. The first pick is an orange cat with wide eyes, a white muzzle, black wire whiskers and a blue collar on a slim metal stem about 16.5" long. The second is his striped orange tail, curling up about 14" on its own stem with a blue butterfly perched on the tip. Push the two picks into a pot a few inches apart and the cat looks like he is peeking out from behind the leaves with his tail in the air.
Key Features
- Two-piece set: A cat head-and-body pick plus a separate curled tail pick, so the cat appears to sit inside the planting.
- Orange striped kitty: Painted metal with wide eyes, wire whiskers, a blue collar and stripes on the tail.
- Blue butterfly: A small metal butterfly perches on the tip of the tail to match the collar.
- All-metal picks: Body about 16.5" long and 2.75" wide; tail about 14" long and 5" wide.
- Sunset Vista Designs: A family-run outdoor decor company that has been designing whimsical garden art, wind chimes and hanging decor for garden centers since the 1990s.
How to Use It
Push the cat pick into the soil at the back of a planter so the head shows just above the foliage, then set the tail pick a few inches to one side so it curls up over the leaves. It suits a porch container, a window box, a hanging basket or a low shrub in the garden, and the slim stems slide in without disturbing roots. Adjust the depth of each pick to change how much of the cat peeks out. Pull the picks before the ground freezes and store them dry over winter to keep the paint bright. Pair the set with other Sunset Vista Designs Country Garden stakes, bouncies and spinners for a planter full of characters.
A Thoughtful Gift
Cat lovers, container gardeners and anyone with a porch full of pots will enjoy this little set. It is an easy birthday, Mother’s Day or hostess gift, small enough to tuck into a gift basket with a plant.
