Description

Run MIG, flux-core and stick welds from one 30-pound box with the PrimeWeld MIG180 180-Amp MIG Welder With Spool Gun. The IGBT inverter plugs into 110V or 220V, and the included spool gun feeds soft aluminum wire from a short spool at the handle, so it never kinks on the way to the arc. A digital power display sits on the front panel, and the kit adds a USA-made MIG gun, ground clamp, electrode holder, regulator and gas hose. Pick a 10 ft or 15 ft MIG torch lead; the machine is otherwise identical.

Key Features

  • Three processes: MIG (GMAW), gasless flux-core (FCAW) and DC stick (MMA), switched with one button, for steel, stainless and aluminum.
  • Dual voltage with protection: Runs on 110V with the included adapter or on 220V for full output, with overcurrent, overheating and power-spike protection.
  • Spool gun for aluminum: A 12 ft spool gun replaces the standard torch, and the built-in gas solenoid times pre-flow and post-flow.
  • 2T/4T trigger lock: In 4T mode the arc stays lit after you release the trigger, sparing your hand on long passes.
  • About PrimeWeld: PrimeWeld of Blackwood, New Jersey backs every machine with a no-hassle 3-year warranty and US-based support.

How to Use It

Choose the process on the panel, load a 2 lb or 10 lb spool, and fit the matching drive roll: V-groove for solid MIG wire, knurled for flux-core. For gas-shielded MIG, thread the regulator onto your cylinder and connect the hose. Swap in the spool gun for aluminum, and flip to 4T before a long seam so the arc holds on its own. Weld sheet from 22 gauge up on a 110V garage circuit, or move to 220V for the full 180 amps. Respect the 30 percent duty cycle at maximum output.

Both variants are the same MIG180 machine with the same accessories; only the MIG torch lead length differs. The 10 ft torch suits bench and cart work where the welder sits close by. The 15 ft torch gives you extra reach around trailers, gates and equipment without dragging the machine along.
Yes. The included spool gun has a 12 ft cable and an extra contact tip, and it holds the aluminum spool at the handle so the soft wire only feeds a few inches instead of the full torch length. Swap it in for the standard MIG gun when you switch to aluminum.
Yes. A 220V-to-110V adapter is in the box. On 110V the welder needs a 30 amp breaker and delivers 30 to 120 amps of MIG or stick output. Plug into 220V on a 50 amp breaker to reach the full 180 amps.
Not for flux-core wire, which welds without gas using the knurled drive roll. For gas-shielded MIG the regulator and gas hose are included, but the gas cylinder is not, so pick one up from your gas supplier before your first MIG pass.
