How to Use It
Remove the wax cover before lighting. On the first burn, let the melted wax reach the glass all the way around, which takes an hour or two and keeps the candle from tunneling later. Wooden wicks need only a light trim: snap or trim off the charred tip to about an eighth of an inch before each lighting. Keep the jar on a heat-safe surface away from drafts, curtains and wagging tails, burn it in stretches of two to four hours, and replace the cover once the wax has cooled. It suits the rooms where dog smells collect, such as the mudroom, the laundry room or the family room where the dog naps.
