Description
Heat, a long haul home, a course of antibiotics — birds lose ground fast when they stop drinking. Purina Electrolyte & Antioxidant Supplement for Poultry puts the salts and nutrients back in the water so your flock keeps drinking and stays active through the stretches that knock them down. One packet treats a gallon, and each carton holds three, so it is cheap insurance to keep on the shelf before the first heat wave.
Key Features
- Mixes straight into drinking water: One 0.25 oz packet per gallon, no measuring or dosing equipment needed.
- Electrolyte replacement: Sodium, potassium, and salt help birds rehydrate during heat and other stress.
- Formulated with oregano oils: Part of the antioxidant package supporting birds through stressful stretches.
- Contains beta-carotene: Helps enhance color in legs and beaks.
- Useful after antibiotics: A common step in getting birds back to normal intake and activity.
- Pairs with probiotics: Can be used alone or mixed in the same gallon as Purina Probiotic Supplement for Poultry.
Feeding Directions
Mix one packet, about 0.25 ounces of powder, into 1 gallon of clean, cool water — or a quarter packet per quart if you are mixing small. Offer the solution during periods of stress and after antibiotic treatment. If you are also using Purina Chick Probiotic, mix one packet of each into the same gallon. During hot weather or other stress, offer the mixed solution and plain drinking water side by side so birds can choose. Important: make fresh solution daily and wash founts regularly. Not for human consumption; wash hands after feeding or handling birds.
