Feeding Directions
Feed limited amounts for the first few days, then offer free choice. Scatter blocks in the pasture or field, or place them in bunks where goats are grazing, at a rate of one block per 12 to 15 head. Check the supply often and replenish when blocks are two-thirds gone. After the first few days, consumption should level off at 0.8 to 1.4 pounds per head per day, which provides a maximum of 0.7 mg selenium per day. If consumption runs high, move the blocks further from bedding and watering areas. Keep roughage and fresh water available at all times.
Caution: Do not feed to sheep — this product contains copper. Do not offer free-choice to starving goats. Feeding added selenium at levels in excess of 0.3 ppm in the total diet is prohibited. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area protected from rodents and insects, and do not feed moldy or insect-infested feed.
