Description

Protect growing kids through the riskiest weeks of their lives with Purina Goat Grower 16 Plus Up DQ .0015, a medicated 16%-protein pelleted complete feed containing decoquinate at 0.0015% (6.8 mg per lb) for the prevention of coccidiosis. This is the medicated version of Goat Grower 16 Plus Up — if you want the same nutrition without the coccidiostat, buy the non-medicated Goat Grower 16 Plus Up instead. Built-in roughage means you can feed it as a complete ration, and the pellet keeps kids from sorting out what they like and leaving the rest.

Key Features

  • Medicated with decoquinate: 0.0015% (6.8 mg/lb) for the prevention of coccidiosis in growing goats — the DQ .0015 in the name.
  • Nutritionally complete: Balanced protein, vitamins, and minerals with a built-in roughage source that reduces clean-up from wasted or uneaten forage.
  • Pelleted: Reduces sorting and handles cleanly in bunks and feeders.
  • Organic trace minerals: Highly available zinc, manganese, and copper amino acid complexes support immune function.
  • Urinary acidifiers: Ammonium chloride helps reduce the likelihood of urinary calculi.
  • Yeast culture: Helps maintain rumen health and digestive efficiency.
  • For meat or dairy goats: Formulated for optimum growth and development in both.

Feeding Directions

Feed at a rate of 1.67 lbs per day to goats or kids weighing 50 lbs, which provides 22.7 mg decoquinate per 100 lb of body weight (0.5 mg/kg) per day. Feed continuously for at least 28 days during the period of exposure to coccidiosis or when coccidiosis is likely to be a hazard. Start kids on colostrum from birth to 3 days, then a kid milk replacer from 2 days until 4 to 8 weeks. Allow 7 to 10 days when changing rations. Keep a constant supply of feed available, do not let fines accumulate in feeders, provide adequate bunk space, offer Purina Goat Mineral free-choice, and keep fresh clean water in front of the herd at all times.

Warning: Do not feed to goats producing milk for food. Contains copper — do not feed to sheep. Bentonite should not be used in decoquinate feeds. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area protected from rodents and insects, and do not feed moldy or insect-infested feed. Use only as directed.
