This is a complete feed, which means the forage is already milled into the pellet, so a horse whose teeth no longer handle hay can still get the fiber they need. Soften it with water for a mash, and the horse that has started quidding hay can eat a full meal again.

Feeding Directions
Fed as the sole ration, a 1,000 lb senior horse at maintenance eats about 14 lbs per day, split into two or three meals. Light work moves that to roughly 15.5 lbs and moderate work to about 18 lbs; an open or early-gestation broodmare needs about 14 lbs and a breeding stallion about 16.75 lbs. If the horse still chews hay or pasture well, feed it alongside and reduce Impact Professional Senior by 1 lb for every 1.5 to 2 lbs of forage consumed. Do not feed less than 0.7 lbs per 100 lbs of body weight per day, or the horse will fall short on protein, vitamins, and minerals. Check body condition every couple of weeks and adjust slowly, since aging horses change at different rates.
Caution: Store in a dry, well-ventilated area protected from rodents and insects. Do not feed moldy or insect-infested feed to animals, as it may cause illness, performance loss, or death. Use only as directed.
