Feeding Directions
Kittens usually start nibbling solid food at 3 to 4 weeks old. At that stage keep moistened kibble available at all times, mixing one part liquid to three parts Kitten Chow Year One Essentials and refreshing it often. From 3 to 6 weeks feed 1/4 to 1/3 cup daily across 3 to 4 meals; from 7 weeks to 6 months feed 1/3 to 2/3 cup daily across 3 to 4 meals; from 7 months to 1 year feed 1/2 to 2/3 cup daily split into 2 meals. After weaning at 6 to 8 weeks most kittens eat dry food at will, so a self-feeding program with food left in the dish works well. Adjust amounts to keep her in ideal body condition. Because kittens keep developing all year, stay on this formula for the full twelve months, then transition to an adult Cat Chow formula. Fresh water should always be available.
