Feeding Directions
Start Layena Pellets once your pullets reach 18 weeks or lay their first egg, and feed it continuously as the sole ration, keeping feed in front of the birds at all times. Layena should make up at least 90 percent of the diet, with clean water always available. Most flocks will not need supplemental oyster shell, though it is good practice to set a dish out during hot weather and let hens take what they need. During molt, switch to Purina Flock Raiser Feed for the added protein feather regrowth requires, then transition back to Layena when the hens start laying again. See the feed tag for full directions. Caution: do not feed to birds under 18 weeks of age or to male birds. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area free from rodents and insects. Do not feed moldy or insect-infested feed to animals, as it may cause illness, performance loss, or death. Use only as directed.
