Feeding Directions
Measure with a standard 8 oz cup, which holds roughly 115 g of Pro Plan, and begin with the guideline amount for an average, active adult dog fed once daily. Adjust from there to hold ideal body condition, since age, workload, and weather all move the number, and resist letting a working dog carry extra weight. Start weaning pups on dry or moistened kibble as soon as they nibble solid food, generally three to four weeks of age; feed pups under six months all the moistened food they will eat across several small meals, or leave dry kibble available. Reproducing females may eat double to quadruple their normal amount during lactation. Caution: ease into Pro Plan over 7 to 10 days, feeding a little less of the old food and a little more of the new each day, to avoid digestive upset. Keep fresh water in a clean container available daily, and see your veterinarian regularly.
