Feeding Directions
Measure with a standard 8 oz cup, which holds about 112 g of Pro Plan, and start from these daily amounts for an average, active adult dog fed once a day. Adjust to keep your dog in lean working condition.
- 3 to 12 lb: 1/3 to 1 cup
- 13 to 20 lb: 1 to 1-1/3 cups
- 21 to 35 lb: 1-1/3 to 2 cups
- 36 to 50 lb: 2 to 2-1/3 cups
- 51 to 75 lb: 2-1/2 to 3-1/4 cups
- 76 to 100 lb: 3-1/4 to 4 cups
- Over 100 lb: 4 cups plus 1/4 cup for each 10 lb of body weight over 100 lb
Start weaning puppies on dry or moistened Pro Plan around 3 to 4 weeks of age, and let pups under six months eat all they will take at intervals through the day. Feed a pregnant female enough to hold her ideal condition; intake can double or quadruple during lactation. Switch any dog over 7 to 10 days to avoid digestive upset, keep fresh water in a clean container, and see your veterinarian regularly. Caution: contains a source of live (viable) naturally occurring microorganisms. Store the bag in a cool, dry place.
