Description
Get water and electrolytes back into a horse who will not drink after a hard effort with Purina RepleniMash Hydration and Recovery Mash. Mix a pound with two cups of warm water, let it soak, and most horses dive into it. Behind the taste is a balanced formula carrying Outlast gastric support technology, a measured dose of electrolytes, and beet pulp that holds water in the gut where it does the most good.
Key Features
- Replaces what sweat takes out: Formulated to restore the sodium, potassium, and chloride lost through roughly 30 minutes of continuous sweating.
- Beet pulp carries the water: Added beet pulp increases water-holding capacity, so hydration travels into the hindgut instead of straight through.
- Outlast technology built in: One pound of mash contains a full serving of Outlast seaweed-derived calcium for gastric pH support.
- Supports intestinal cell health: Research in a simulated equine hindgut model showed support for volatile fatty acid production, including butyrate.
- Flaxseed for coat and omega-3s: Stabilized ground flaxseed adds omega-3 fatty acids and puts a shine on the coat.
- Formulated without corn, alfalfa, oats, or soy protein: A useful option for horses managed around those ingredients.
Feeding Directions
Feed 1 to 2 lbs per day, or roughly 0.1 to 0.2 lbs per 100 lbs of body weight, adjusting to the level of support the horse needs. Mix 16 oz of water per pound of mash and let it soak before serving; one pound measures out to about 3.5 dry 8 oz cups. Used this way, RepleniMash is a supplement, so keep feeding a concentrate or ration balancer alongside it to cover daily nutrient requirements. If you want to feed it as the only concentrate, use 0.3 lbs per 100 lbs of body weight per day together with 1.2 lbs of hay or pasture per 100 lbs of body weight. It works well after a hard workout, during travel, on a cold day when the water buckets go untouched, or as a way to disguise a less palatable supplement.
