Description
This is the medicated Start & Grow — it contains amprolium at 0.0125% to aid in the prevention of coccidiosis. Reach for this bag if your chicks were not vaccinated for coccidiosis, or if you bought them without knowing their vaccination status; that covers most straight-run chicks from a feed store bin. Underneath the medication it is the same 18% protein Chick Strong ration as the non-medicated version, complete and balanced from day one to laying age. Amprolium is not an antibiotic and is not affected by the Veterinary Feed Directive, so no vet paperwork is involved. If your chicks did come home vaccinated, buy the non-medicated bag instead — we stock both.

Feeding Directions
Feed Purina Start & Grow 18% Medicated continuously as the sole ration from day one until the onset of egg production, then switch to a Purina layer feed such as Layena, transitioning gradually rather than all at once. Keep fresh, clean water in front of the birds at all times, and keep the feed available free choice. Do not feed this medicated ration to laying hens producing eggs for human consumption. Caution: store in a dry, well-ventilated area protected from rodents and insects. Do not feed moldy or insect-infested feed to animals, as it may cause illness, performance loss, or death. Use only as directed. Warning: keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. Follow sound management practices and disease and sanitation control measures.
