Description
Drain water out from behind a segmental retaining wall with the Pave Tool Quick-E-Retaining Wall Spillway. The 16-gauge aluminum spillway penetrates the wall face and discharges captured water past the toe of the wall — eliminating the hydrostatic pressure that causes SRWs to bulge, lean, or fail. A 1-1/2 in back flange slips onto standard 4 in perforated drainage pipe (SDR35, Triple Wall, or S&D), so the spillway integrates with the drainage stone and pipe you’re already installing behind the wall.
Built to NCMA specifications for segmental retaining wall drainage. Install one per low point in the wall’s drainage run.
Why Hardscapers Specify the Quick-E-Retaining Wall Spillway
- Eliminates hydrostatic pressure — releases captured groundwater before it can push the wall outward
- Fits 4 in drainage pipe — SDR35, Triple Wall, or S&D slips into the 1-1/2 in back flange
- Meets NCMA specs for segmental retaining wall drainage detail
- 16-gauge aluminum — rust-proof, long-lasting, won’t deteriorate against soil chemistry
- Clean wall face — finished aluminum outlet sits flush rather than exposed pipe
- Fast install — slip-fit onto the drain pipe and bed against the wall course as you build

Installation Notes
Install at the low point of each drainage run, typically every 25–50 ft along the wall and at every elevation change. Bed the spillway between courses with the discharge end flush to the wall face. Connect the 1-1/2 in back flange to the perforated drainage pipe before backfilling with the drainage stone behind the wall. Always backfill with clean, free-draining angular stone and a non-woven geotextile per the wall manufacturer’s spec.
