Rain Bird 15RCS 15 ft. Right Corner Strip Pattern Spray Nozzle, MPR

Description

Cover a 90-degree inside corner from the corner itself without overspraying along either wall. The Rain Bird 15RCS is the right-corner-strip pattern of the 15-Series fixed-spray family — it throws an L-shaped pattern out to the LEFT and FORWARD from the sprinkler body, designed for a sprinkler sitting in the right-hand corner of a strip looking down it. Pair it with the matching 15LCS in the opposite corner and a row of CSTs or SSTs in between, and you’ve got a clean rectangular strip zone with no overspray onto the sidewalk, fence, or building face.

Why Installers Pick the 15RCS

  • Right-corner-strip pattern — throws to the LEFT and FORWARD only, hugs a 90° inside corner
  • Designed to mirror the 15LCS — install pairs at opposite corners of a long strip for a clean rectangular footprint
  • MPR — Matched Precipitation Rate across the 5, 8, 10, 12, and 15 Series — zone all sizes together without overwatering the shorter throws
  • Fixed spray, no moving parts — nothing to seize up or grind down under municipal grit
  • Stainless steel adjustment screw — trim the flow and radius without slipping
  • White inlet filter (.035″ × .035″ mesh) ships with the nozzle — keeps the orifice clean and the pattern crisp
  • Fits all Rain Bird 1800 series pop-up bodies, 5000 series rotor bodies, and standard shrub adapters — drop-in retrofit on any existing Rain Bird head

Orientation Quick Reference

The “right” in Right Corner Strip describes the sprinkler’s position in the corner, looking down the strip with your back to the corner:

  • 15RCS (this product) — sprinkler sits in the RIGHT corner. Pattern throws to the LEFT (down the strip) and FORWARD (across the width).
  • 15LCS — sprinkler sits in the LEFT corner. Pattern throws to the RIGHT (down the strip) and FORWARD (across the width). Mirror image of the RCS.

Standard pair install: 15RCS at the right end, 15LCS at the left end, fill the middle with 15CST nozzles spaced 15 ft apart head-to-head.

Where It Shines

  • Long perimeter beds with a 90° inside corner at one end — the RCS sits in that corner
  • Hellstrips that end at a foundation, fence, or building corner
  • Median strips with corner pop-ups at each end
  • Service-call retrofits replacing failed corner-strip nozzles on existing 1800-series pop-ups

Install Notes

  • Confirm you have the correct hand — the RCS is for the RIGHT corner. The matching LCS handles the LEFT corner. They are NOT interchangeable.
  • Unscrew the old nozzle, screw the 15RCS on hand-tight — no Teflon tape needed (self-sealing female thread)
  • Orient the spray face so the L-shape points DOWN the strip (left) and ACROSS the strip (forward)
  • Trim the radius with the stainless screw — clockwise to reduce throw, counter-clockwise to open it back up
  • Match the pressure to 15–30 psi — below 15 the pattern collapses, above 30 you’re misting and losing water to drift
  • Zone the 15RCS with other 15-Series and matched-precip MPR nozzles only — do not mix with rotor zones
