How to Use
Hay Stretcher may replace up to half the hay in the horse's diet on a pound-for-pound basis, so one pound of pellets substitutes for one pound of hay. Do not use it as the sole ration and do not use it to replace grain, because it is not fortified with vitamins or trace minerals. Make the change gradually and split the daily amount across at least two feedings. About 1.35 pounds fills one quart, so weigh the feed for accuracy. Provide free-choice salt and plenty of fresh water. Store in a cool, dry place, since this product is perishable and may degrade if it is not used in a timely manner.
