How to Use It
Dry-lay a row of tile first and try two or three spacer widths to see which joint suits the tile size and pattern; narrow joints flatter large rectified tile, while wider joints hide size variation in handmade tile. Spread thinset, set the tile, and press a cross spacer flat into each intersection, or stand one on end along an edge where only two tiles meet. Pull the spacers before the thinset fully cures and before grouting, since a buried spacer leaves a weak spot in the joint. Rinse reusable spacers and drop them back in their compartment so the case is ready for the next room.
