Description

Build a wiring harness you can unplug later with the Service Tool 50 PC Wire Connector Assortment. Twenty-five male and 25 female crimp connectors come color coded by wire gauge, with red for 22-16 gauge, blue for 16-14 gauge and yellow for 12-10 gauge, and sit in matched pairs inside a hinged clear clamshell case with divided compartments. A male and female pair mates into a disconnect, so a trailer light, a sprayer pump or a set of landscape lights can be separated for service without cutting a wire. Keep this Tool City electrical connector kit beside your crimper for 12-volt and low-voltage repairs.

Key Features

  • Matched male and female pairs: 10 of each in red and blue and 5 of each in yellow, so every connection has both halves.
  • Color-coded gauges: red fits 22-16 gauge, blue fits 16-14 gauge and yellow fits 12-10 gauge, following the standard crimp terminal color scheme.
  • Serviceable connections: pull the halves apart to swap a light, pump or accessory and plug them back together when the job is done.
  • Organized storage: the divided clamshell case keeps the six connector types separate and hangs from a peg or fits a tool bag.
  • About Service Tool: Tool City is the house label of Service Tool Co., LLC, a supplier of hardware, fastener and electrical assortments packed in reusable clamshell cases under the promise of quality, value and satisfaction guaranteed.

How to Use It

Strip about a quarter inch of insulation from the wire end and choose the connector color that matches the gauge. Slide the bare wire into the barrel and crimp it with a terminal crimper on the matching color notch, then tug to confirm it holds. Crimp the male half on one side of the break and the female half on the other, then push the two together until they seat. Use the red pairs for turn signal and marker light leads, blue for accessory and pump feeds, and yellow for heavier 12-volt loads. Add heat shrink or tape over the joint anywhere it will see rain or road spray.

Use a wire stripper and a crimp terminal tool with color-coded notches for the best hold. Strip about a quarter inch of insulation, crimp firmly and pull on the wire to check the connection.
Yes for trailer, equipment and low-voltage landscape wiring, but cover the finished joint with heat shrink tubing or electrical tape so moisture cannot reach the crimp.
