How to Use
Shovel away loose snow and slush first, then spread Snow Shield Pink Ice Melt evenly over the icy surface by hand or with a broadcast spreader. A light, even coat is all it takes; because the granules are sized to bore through ice and form brine, heavy piles only waste product. Pre-treat sidewalks and steps before a storm to keep ice and snow from bonding to the surface. Once the ice softens, shovel off the slush and any remaining granules to protect your pavement. Use only on properly placed, cured and sealed concrete. Avoid new concrete under one year old, precast items, masonry, mortar and wood. Keep out of reach of children and pets, and do not allow ingestion. Reseal the bag or move the ice melt into a dry, covered bin between storms, since magnesium chloride absorbs moisture and can cake.
