How to Use
Remove slush and as much loose snow as possible before applying. Spread Snow Shield Rock Salt evenly across the surface at roughly 1/2 to 1 cup per square yard, depending on ice thickness and air temperature, and reapply as needed. Once the ice and snow soften, shovel away the slush and any excess salt to protect your pavement. Use only on properly placed, cured, sealed, air-entrained concrete. Do not use on porous or improperly cured concrete, concrete less than one year old, precast items, masonry, mortar, wood or other porous materials. Take care where grass and plantings border the treated area, since over-application can damage vegetation. Keep out of reach of children and pets; this product is not for human or animal consumption.
Sodium chloride absorbs moisture and can harden or cake, so reseal the bag tightly or move the salt into a moisture-proof bin and store it in a dry place between storms.
