Description
Finish your three-point hookup with the SpeeCo Top Link Pin for Category 2 Tractors, the pin that joins the top link to the implement’s upper bracket. It measures 1 in. in diameter with 3-9/16 in. of usable length, the standard Category 2 top link size, and is made from zinc-plated steel. A handle on the head gives you something to grab when you are lining up the top link with a heavy implement hanging off the lift arms, and a cross hole at the tip takes a lynch pin so the pin cannot walk out in the field.
Key Features
- Category 2 top link pin: The 1 in. diameter and 3-9/16 in. usable length fit Cat. 2 top links and implement brackets.
- Zinc-plated steel: Plating slows rust on a pin that gets left outside on the implement.
- Handle head: Easier to push in and pull out with gloved hands than a plain pin.
- Lynch pin hole: Lock it with a lynch pin and it stays put over rough ground.
- About SpeeCo: SpeeCo, formerly marketed as Farmex, makes three-point hitch pins, top links and tractor hardware for farm and acreage equipment.
How to Install It
Hitch the two lower lift arms first, then raise or lower them until the top link lines up with the implement’s upper bracket. Adjust the top link length by turning its barrel until the holes align, push the top link pin through by its handle and drop a lynch pin through the cross hole. Keep a spare top link pin in the tractor toolbox, because it is the pin most often lost when swapping implements. Check that your tractor’s top link and the implement bracket are both Category 2 before ordering. Wipe it down and add a little grease before winter storage.
