Description

Prep paver, concrete, and masonry surfaces for sealing — or just clean them up at the end of the season — with the SRW Products PW Paver Wash. This biodegradable general-purpose hardscape cleaner cuts through job-site dust, atmospheric grime, and seasonal soil so the surface is open and ready for sealer adhesion. SRW recommends PW Paver Wash (or DW Dual Wash) on every project before the sealer goes down — pressure-washing alone drives dirt deeper into the pores while a real cleaner pulls it out.

Model #: SSPW CTN (1-gallon jug) / SSPW 5GAL (5-gallon pail) · Available in: 1 Gallon or 5 Gallons

Why Clean Before You Seal?

  • A real cleaner pulls dirt out of the pores — pressure-washing alone drives the dirt deeper, leaving a contaminated surface that the sealer can’t bond to
  • Better sealer adhesion: a cleaned surface produces an even film with no blotchy, low-gloss spots
  • More uniform color: removes the haze and weathering that mute the saturated paver color underneath
  • Reduces callbacks: spending 30 minutes on prep eliminates the “why doesn’t this look like the showroom?” phone call later
  • Versatile: use after install, before sealing, OR as a routine maintenance wash — works the same way every time

Which Size Should I Buy?

  • 1 Gallon (covers up to 200 sq ft of concentrate) — small patios, accent installs, contractor service calls, retaining-wall caps
  • 5 Gallons (covers up to 1,000 sq ft of concentrate) — full driveways, large patios, multi-room paver installs, commercial walkways

Application

  1. Spot-clean stubborn stains first with the appropriate SRW Specialty Clean product (CDX, EF, OC, M3C, RE, or SS) — PW handles general grime but not tar, oil, or efflorescence on its own.
  2. Pre-wet the surface and surrounding vegetation with clean water. The project should remain wet throughout the cleaning process.
  3. Dilute PW Paver Wash with water per label directions for the soil load you’re working with.
  4. Apply with a pump sprayer or watering can in 200 sq ft sections.
  5. Scrub with a stiff bristle brush. Two-person application is recommended — one applies, one agitates and rinses.
  6. Rinse thoroughly with clean water until all foam disappears. Re-rinse adjacent vegetation.
  7. Wait 24 hours minimum after the surface is fully dry before applying an SRW Paver Seal product.

SRW Cleaner Lineup

  • PW Paver Wash (this product) — everyday biodegradable general-purpose pre-seal cleaner
  • DW Dual Wash — alternative general-purpose pre-seal cleaner with mild stain-lifting boost
  • EF Efflorescence Remover — acid-free dissolver for white mineral haze
  • CDX Cleaner & Degreaser X-Treme — concentrated spot treatment for oil, tar, gum, paint
  • SS Sealer Stripper — industrial-strength stripper for old acrylic sealers and curing compounds

Safety

Wear eye protection and rubber gloves when applying. Saturate vegetation before AND after application to dilute any runoff. Keep from freezing — freezing damages the formulation. Test in an inconspicuous area before general application. For full chemical, application, and safety information, see the PW Paver Wash Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet.
